General
At Label Lab, you can easily and quickly apply for an energy label for your home, homeowners’ association (HOA), or commercial building. We take care of the property inspection, calculate the energy label, and handle the official registration with the government.
An energy label is valid for 10 years from the date of issue. After that, a new energy label must be requested, especially if sustainability measures have been implemented.
An energy label provides insight into how energy-efficient a building is, on a scale from A++++ (very energy-efficient) to G (very inefficient). The energy label is mandatory when selling, renting, or delivering a home or commercial building. The goal is to make owners and tenants aware of the energy performance and possible improvements.
For commercial property
Yes, since 2023, office buildings in the Netherlands must have at least an energy label C to remain in use. This applies to office buildings larger than 100 m². Other commercial properties are also required to have an energy label when sold, rented out, or delivered.
Improving your building’s energy label can be achieved through energy-saving measures such as better insulation, more efficient heating systems, and the installation of solar panels. Label Lab provides independent, tailored energy advice to help make your commercial building more energy-efficient and compliant with the latest regulations.
Yes, there are various subsidies and tax schemes available for making business premises more sustainable, such as the Energy Investment Allowance (EIA), the Sustainable Energy Investment Subsidy (ISDE), and the DUMAVA for sustainable social real estate. Label Lab helps you find and apply for the right subsidies.
For homeowners
A better energy label leads to lower energy costs, increased living comfort, and a higher property value. Moreover, a green energy label is more attractive to buyers or tenants. By taking energy-saving measures, you also contribute to a better environment.
There are various measures that can improve your energy label, such as a smart ventilation system, insulation where possible, and don’t underestimate the impact of a (hybrid) heat pump on the energy label.
Label Lab can help you with customized advice for your home.
The costs for applying for an energy label vary depending on the type of home. At Label Lab, we offer competitive prices for a fast and reliable application process. Please contact us for a no-obligation quote.
For HOA
Yes, homeowners' associations (VvEs) are eligible for various subsidies, such as the Subsidy Scheme for Sustainability for Homeowners' Associations (SVVE). Label Lab assists your VvE with applying for subsidies and selecting the most cost-effective energy-saving measures.
A homeowners’ association (HOA) can achieve greater sustainability by undertaking collective initiatives such as roof insulation, the installation of solar panels, or the replacement of outdated central heating systems. Label Lab offers specialized energy consultancy services tailored specifically for HOAs, taking into full account the preferences and budgets of all participating owners.
For all homes, it is becoming increasingly important to have a green energy label. Homes that are part of a homeowners' association (VvE) will need to come together to create a joint plan for this. It starts with a clear report, which can optionally be explained verbally during a VvE meeting or at the VvE's sustainability committee.
Insulation (roof, facade, and floor), the installation of HR++ glass, and the addition of solar panels are some of the most commonly applied measures.
This depends on the size of the building and the complexity of the situation. We offer a non-binding intake consultation in which we outline the costs and benefits.
The duration of the process depends on the scope of the measures. On average, it can take several months from the initial advice to full implementation.
